Remove Line Breaks From Text
Join broken lines into one clean paragraph. Paste text copied from a PDF, email or website, click Remove Line Breaks, and every line break becomes a single space.
About This Remove Line Breaks
Text copied from PDFs, scanned documents and emails often has a hard line break at the end of every line. Pasted into a document or web form, it looks ragged and does not reflow. This tool removes those breaks and joins the lines into continuous text.
Each line break is replaced with a single space, and repeated spaces are collapsed, so words are never glued together. Note that all line breaks are removed, including blank lines between paragraphs — if you need to keep paragraph breaks, clean the text in sections.
How to Use It
- Paste your text into the input box.
- Click Remove Line Breaks.
- Check the single-paragraph result in the output box.
- Click Copy Output to use it anywhere.
When to Remove Line Breaks
- Text copied from a PDF where every line ends with a hard return.
- Email threads and chat logs that were wrapped at a fixed width.
- Lists you want on a single line (use the Comma Separator if you want commas between items).
- Preparing text for forms and systems that only accept one line.
If you only want to clean extra blank lines and double spaces while keeping paragraphs, use the Remove Extra Spaces tool instead.
Who Is This Tool For?
- Students and researchers — clean text copied from PDFs.
- Editors — reflow wrapped text before editing.
- Data entry workers — prepare single-line values.
- Developers — flatten multi-line strings for testing.
